Outcome-based learning for ministerial preparation replaced content-based preparation for the Church of the Nazarene in 1997. The shift in process enhanced applicability of instruction and learning across the many cultures represented, as well as to encourage lifelong learning among the denomination's minsters. This study reflects the process by which the curriculum was revised to support the objectives of outcome-based learning.
